Sonic Zest Apricot Tree Duduk wind instrument for Kontakt

Sonic Zest has announced the release of its latest Kontakt instrument library.

Apricot Tree Duduk lets you experience the mysterious sound of the ancient duduk wind instrument, which has been featured in many epic soundtracks, including Avatar, Gladiator and Blood Diamond.

The deeply sampled instrument for the full version of Kontakt 5.8.1 or higher features 6 round robins.

One of the oldest instruments known to man, the duduk originates from the Middle Eastern country of Armenia. It is traditionally made from apricot wood and is similar to the oboe, in that it uses a double reed.

We made a beautiful, detailed and soft recording of this 10 hole instrument. We’ve spread the sounds over the entire range of the keyboard. There is both a legato and polyphonic preset for you to use.
