Hex Drum and OSL Side Effects plugins updates (incl. Big Sur compatibility)

Oblivion Sound Lab has announced the release of updates for its Hex Drum and OSL Side Effects plugins, bringing compatibility with macOS 11 (Big Sur) and Apple’s new Silicon hardware.

Version 1.0.2 of Hex Drum also fixes a bug that caused volume spikes at certain filter settings.

Hex Drum is a virtual instrument inspired by synth drum machines of the 1980s, in particular the Simmons SDS series with its distinctive hexagonal drum pads, from which our plugin takes its name.

Changes in Hex Drum v1.0.2

  • Fixed: Volume spike at certain filter cutoff + sweep combinations.
  • Added: macOS 11 (Big Sur) and mac Silicon M1 compatibility (v1.0.1).
  • Changed: License key validator now strips stray whitespace (v1.0.1).
  • Fixed: Improved stability in Bitwig (v1.0.1).
  • Fixed: Installer no longer deletes factory presets installed by other OSL plugins (v1.0.1).
